I was a combat medic. You learn pretty fast that somebody has to be the person who shows up when it goes bad, and that it usually is not the person with the most to say about it.

I have knocked on hundreds of doors out here this year. People are polite about it, but the answer is the same on every street: the roads are bad, the drainage is worse, and nobody from the city has been out here in years.

I read municipal budgets for a living. I am finishing a doctorate in it. That is not a slogan, it is just the thing I happen to be good at, and this district could use somebody who reads the whole document.

This seat is nonpartisan, and I mean it. Nobody has ever asked me who I voted for while I was helping them fill a sandbag. I will work with anyone who wants this district taken seriously.
